About Us

SLS was established in 2000 to provide outsourced legal discovery services for Wellington litigators. The market responded positively and two years later the business expanded to Auckland.

The premise behind SLS has always been to operate as an extension of a litigation practice, seamlessly performing essential discovery and support tasks that might otherwise overload practice staff.

Recognising the growing importance of electronic discovery, in 2008 SLS launched the e-lab. Masterminded by technical director Jonathan Tu, the e-lab is fully-equipped to assist lawyers and investigators with indexing and processing the increasing amount of electronic documents that are involved with discovery today.

In 2012 client demand for electronic discovery increased in response to the new High Court e-discovery rules. SLS has expanded to meet the market and introduced a number of initiatives to drive leadership in the eDiscovery services category. These include hosting and trial presentation services, and seminars to educate law firm staff about electronic discovery.
